Whether you are buying your first home or your twentieth it is an emotional experience. Most people know which house is perfect for them when they walk in the door. It is a feeling that is almost indescribable- you just know this is the home. Most of us hope that our good judgment will be what controls which home we pick. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a person on your side to look out for you?
I believe in helping people find that home. It is one of the largest purchases that you will make and it should be more than just a real estate transaction- it should be a happy and memorable experience. Homes are where memories are made. The first memories should be good ones. I believe that it is my privilege to participate in helping you find a home and I want to try to make the process go as smoothly as possible.

What to expect.
First and foremost you deserve to be heard. The more that you can tell me about you, the easier it is to match you to the right home. Finding you the right home is more than just price range, bedroom, and baths. It is knowing about your family, friends, pets, favorite entertainment, how often you like to eat out, how much you like the outdoors, and the list goes on. This information helps me to identify what neighborhoods and what type of home might suit you. Every family is unique and has different requirements and needs, and I believe in helping you find the best fit.
The first interview will cover the basics:
1. What you need, want, and can afford.
2. When you want to move.
3. What the market has to offer.
I know that moving, especially to a new area, can be an overwhelming proposition. You are dealing with financing, inspections, negotiations, packing, and much more. The small things like where the grocery store is located are often over looked! I try to make a point of helping you become acclimated to your new area. I can help you identify where to shop, obtain school information, find someone to help you move, arrange for transportation and accommodations if you are coming from out of town, and much more. I believe that being a full service real estate agent means helping you in any reasonable way that I can. I believe that my knowledge of the area, past, present and on occasion future will help you to make an informed decision to buy the right place at the right price.

As a buyer you will also benefit from the use of the best and most user-friendly MLS service offered in the Augusta, GA area. I am the first agent in the area to provide a custom coded MLS search for my clients. A number of realtors offer MLS search on their websites, but they ‘hotlink’ to the mainframe MLS system. That format is made for Realtors to help other Realtors. I found this highly frustrating to my clients. I disagree with that - as a Realtor, I want to provide you as much information as possible in an easy to digest format.
So I hired a programmer and a web designer, told them what I wanted, and now I offer their work to you- free of charge.
This search covers 3 counties in South Carolina and 3 in Georgia, so you can search a vast number of homes. To prevent slow and lost connections, I have my MLS search and the entire Augusta MLS database hosted on my own business servers through Rackspace.com. I have two servers located geographically apart and mirrored for redundancy. I pay good money to give you the best. When other sites go down, mine won’t.
You have the ability to search all homes available in the CSRA and print them out in an easy to read and use format. The format is easy, it does not require a specific type of Internet browser, and it does not shut down due to cookie blockers. You can also save your searches here on my server so you can review them later.

Finally the one thing that I offer over all other agents is a real estate Blog. I am the first agent in this market to actively write about real estate through a web log. Over 80% of buyers start their home search on the internet. I wanted to find a way to communicate to that market by letting them get an opportunity to learn about the area and me on their own time.
My solution… I founded the Elegant Augusta Real Estate Blog. Now that blog gets thousands of visitors per month, allowing me to capture a wide market and better advertise your listings. A number of articles on the Blog have been carried nationally and occasionally mentioned in the local newspaper. No other agent in the area offers clients this much information and this sort of view of their activity.
I believe that good information – often delivered with a healthy sense of humor- makes me more of a person and you a better buyer.
Why on earth do I do this job?!?
Before starting this career, I left a highly paid and influential position, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer of a private housing company. Over the course of three years, I had almost a hundred employees and thousands of clients. I resigned to become a Realtor during the worst market for real estate in 18 years. Why?
I love people and I love homes. It’s my life’s dream.
