Evans Georgia - The heart of Columbia County

Often referred to as 'Evans' the portion of metro Augusta located in Columbia County is one of the fastest growing areas of the city. Sited northwest of Augusta's city center, Evans is generally located North of Columbia Road and West of Steven's Creek. Not far to the North is Clarks Hill Lake, so if you enjoy water sports or boating, this might be the spot for you!

Evans is noted for it's metropolitan flair. The area is very affluent and as result the shops and stores are generally more upscale than the Martinez area in Richmond County. The neighborhoods most frequently thought of by local residents as Evans GA real estate hotspots would be Riverwood Plantation, Jones Creek, West Lake, Champions Retreat, and Bartram Trail.

This website has profiles of three neighborhoods that are very popular in Evans. One of these is Jones Creek Golf Club, located right off of Fury's Ferry Road, another is West Lake Country Club. West Lake is situated between Fury's Ferry and Stevens Creek Road and Riverwood Plantation is a short drive west on Washington Road.
