Hephzibah Georgia - Southern Augusta
Hephzibah is another area similar to Grovetown that has been experiencing amazing growth. At one time a distinct suburb southwest of Augusta, now it is hard to tell where Hephzibah ends and Augusta begins! Due to it's location within Richmond County, Hephizbah became part of Augusta in 1996 when Richmond County and Augusta consolidated. (There is a distinct town government in place, so the area maintains some independence.)
The best appeal of Hephzibah is it's short distance away from Augusta and Fort Gordon. The center of Hephzibah is only a few miles from the front gate of the Fort Gordon Signal Center, so it's popular with civilian and military personnel working at the Fort. On the other hand, one can live there and enjoy an easy commute into the center of Augusta.
Hephzibah GA Real Estate
There are only about 5000 residents or so within the area, and usually approximately 350 Hephzibah homes for sale at any one time.
Due to the large amount of transitional military families in the area, there is a great amount of rental activity. If you need temporary housing it's pretty easy to find, and if you happen to be a real estate investor, Hephzibah would be an area to focus on for your next rental home purchase.
