Elegant Clients and Elegant Service
Testimonials from Clients about Lydia Ann Taylor:
Lydia,
I would just like to extend a very heartfelt thank you for your help selling my house. Our first meeting brought me a feeling of confidence that we would sell this house. That feeling couldn't have been more true. Your professional presentation, and marketing strategy across every available spectrum got my property noticed! I just wanted to thank you again for getting this property sold. I'm looking forward to listing, and selling property together in the future.

Lydia,
Karla and I wanted to take a minute to thank you for providing the best possible realtor service imaginable. You listened to our description (however vague) of the kind of house that we wanted, and the budget that we needed, and you found it! Over the course of four months, you helped narrow our search from, “somewhere around Fort Gordon,” to this great place we own now. Your diligence in researching comps, searching the listings for more new listings, and putting up with our quirkiness guaranteed our business when we decide to sell our home.
A large part of your dedication was shown through the search, but your attention to detail came out once we found the place. You gave us great information upon which to base our offer, strong tactics for winning the negotiation, and wonderful references for lender, inspection, and insurance.
Your intimate knowledge of the area, its inhabitants, and the market trends give you a leg up over any other realtor. I will highly recommend you to anyone in the market for buying or selling, and it was a pleasure doing business with you.

"Which area do you buy in? Do I live in a neighborhood or find a house with some land? Do you need 1800sqft or 1200sqft? What does all this translate into price? And is this house a ‘good deal’ or a trap? And do I need to be pre-approved or pre-qualified? Buying your first house can be scary.
Lydia Ann Taylor helped ease our fears about buying a new house. She made sure we knew what needed to be completed at each stage of the house buying and always was available for questions and last minute house hunting trips. She made the process fun because she listened to what we needed, presented more than enough options, and genuinely had a great time trying to find the exact home we wanted (no matter how long that seemed to take us).
Finding someone the home they want is not an easy task, especially when this home is your first and well, you don’t really know what it is you want. Maybe if you have owned a home before you know that 1600 sqft is enough, that living in a neighborhood is easier than the country, that you need 2.5 baths – 2 won’t work. But when you are a first time homebuyer the categories you present maybe too vague to most other realtors. Lydia took the time to get to know us and despite our list found us the perfect home.
Here was our list (in order of importance);
One acre of land (or more) – preferably out Martintown Rd.
A garage and workshop (obviously Eric rules the ‘house’hold here – have you noticed we haven’t yet mentioned the house?!?)
A decent house (yes, we used the word decent and I hoped it had a kitchen I could cook in – maybe some bedrooms of decent size, and bathrooms are a plus)
And finally that pesky price thing – lets not go over $xxK – a price we can afford.
This was our criteria for buying a house. Not exactly a realtor’s dream as we had given her no solid information about the house. Okay, we conceded, “more than one bathroom, more than 1000 sq ft and did we mention we want to garden in that yard and be able to have our boat, trailer and 2 cars in the garage, workshop, driveway area.” Obviously, all we had ruled out were some neighborhoods with strict HOA’s – but that was all she had to go on.
It only took two trips until Lydia used this vague information to really understand exactly what we meant. Unfortunately, the market wasn’t offering exactly what we wanted at the time. She continued to send options, trying to broaden our horizons, but never pushing an option that wasn’t right. She was ever present and still looking – but the market wasn’t exactly cooperating.
About three weeks later though, she sent us an email at work (which I promise she doesn’t normally do b/c she hates to interrupt people), but she had written that she had found THE HOUSE (Literally, my email was in all caps and she was that excited). We went to see THE HOUSE immediately after work that night. I showed up 5 minutes late and both Eric and Lydia were sitting out front grinning from ear to ear. We all knew it was THE HOUSE before we ever went inside.
I have to go ahead and let you know at this point, Lydia had told us it would be an emotional decision. We fought that idea – we had felt very little emotion (except some fun and laughter in the car) other than angst over possibly making the wrong decision. No clear option had presented itself and being two engineers we had devised a very precise decision matrix to help us choose the right house – to push ourselves to make a decision. Obviously one of these houses had to be okay enough right? She had said “Nope, when you find it you won’t need to do all that” and she could almost promise your first house would be an emotional decision. And standing in front of THE HOUSE there was no need for that matrix now; she had found IT. We were all sure of it and walked through with big smiles and giddy laughter. We put an offer on the house that night and it was accepted the next day (and we knew it was a good deal because knowing us, and what we wanted she had already completed a Competitive Market Analysis).
Lydia was not only a joy to work with (and ride around town with, and make fun of houses with) she was also a great friend and wonderful realtor because she took the time to get to know us and our very vague needs and translated it into our first home. It’s ours now and has rapidly become our home!
Trusting Lydia to find your first house is the best decision you can make. She may not be the best known (yet) or oldest from town, but she is the best choice for YOU because she works for YOU. She will find any answer, search for any home and most notably enjoy every minute of it. Seeing you smile and fulfilling your needs in a home is why Lydia works so hard. I think the best realtor you can find to help you buy your first home is someone who is focused on you; and Lydia is certainly that."
