His corner sending him back for the second round was a huge mistake. I won't be surprised if his knee has been compromised for good. I don't know how much he's getting paid tonight but I hope it's more than enough to cover the surgeries he'll need to fix the buckled knee. On another note, Blaydes is a beast. He's big, he hits hard, and he's fast. And he's only 25 years old. And he won all his seven MMA victories by technical knockout. His only loss came in the hands of Francis Ngannou. The heavyweight division just got more interesting.
Jessica Andrade is bringing it to Angela Hill. Hill is able to keep the distance early but Andrade is slowly shortening the distance and landing heavy shots. The first round was all Andrade. Second round was also all Andrade. All Hill did was try to survive and fight another round. Third round was just a continuation of the second round. Hill had her moments but Andrade was just too much for her.
Marcel Fortuna made a lot of people pay attention to what he has to offer tonight. He slept Anthony Hamilton with a nasty and perfectly-timed punch. Not only is Hamilton nearly 50 pounds heavier than Fortuna, Fortuna also accepted the fight in short notice. He might get tonight's knockout of the night prize bonus.
Ovince St. Preux versus Volkan Oezdemir was an interesting scrap. Both gave it their all. They need massive improvements on their cardio though.
