When The Love Is Gone was based on another Filipino movie that was released way back in 1983. VIVA Films has other films set to be released this year and in 2014. These include Bekikang: Ang Nanay Kong Beki (Joey Paras, Carla Humphries, Tom Rodriguez), The Gifted (Cristine Reyes, Sam Milby, Anne Curtis), Boy Girl Bakla Tomboy (Maricel Soriano, Vice Ganda), and a still untitled project that will star Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz.

VIVA Films has the following to say about When The Love Is Gone: "A gripping, moving story of love lost, love gained, love betrayed, and love unbound based on the Filipino film classic "Nagalit Ang Buwan sa Haba ng Gabi (The Moon Got Mad at the Long Night)." Marked by the glossy, polished, glamorous look of the classic Viva films from the '80s, this is contemporary Filipino melodrama at its finest and most sophisticated. A definite must-see!"
