Watch: Full Trailer for Star Cinema's Kung Fu Divas Starring Marian Rivera and Ai-Ai De Las Alas

The full trailer for the upcoming action comedy adventure film Kung Fu Divas starring Marian Rivera and Ai-Ai de las Alas is now out. Clocking at three minutes, the trailer shows the two lead characters bickering and fighting each other to the end. Written and directed by Onat Diaz, Kung Fu Diaz is a co-production by Reality Entertainment and The O&C Co. Picture Factory Inc. Star Cinema will be distributing the film. It will open in cinemas nationwide on September 5, 2013.

Kung Fu Divas is the first time that Marian Rivera and Ai-Ai de las Alas will appear in a movie project together.The two actresses come from two rival TV networks. Rivera is from GMA while de las Alas is a long-time ABS-CBN talent.
Joining Rivera and de las Alas in the cast are Edward Mendez, Roderick Paulate, Bianca Manalo, Gloria Diaz, Precious Lara Quigaman, and Ruffa Gutierrez.

Director Onat Diaz's first feature film, Kung Fu Divas tells the tale of two aspiring beauty queens competing in a barangay beauty pageant called Hiyas ng Dalampasigan. The rivalry turns physical when they decide to make it into a kung fu match.

Tagalog Movie: My Lady Boss Starring Richard Gutierrez and Marian Rivera

The Tagalog romantic comedy movie My Lady Boss which features Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez in the leads has its release date moved from April 10, 2013 to July 3, 2013. Fans of the two leads will have to wait a couple of months before they will be able to see them on the big screen. This is not the first time the release date for the film has been moved.

It's original planned play date was February 14, 2013 as a Valentines Day offering but this was moved to March 29 which was once again moved to April 10. And from April 10 to July 3. That's three release date changes. So don't be surprised if July 3 gets to be moved again.

Directed by Jade Castro (My Kontrabida Girl, Remington and the Curse of the Zombadings), My Lady Boss is a romantic comedy about a company brand manager (boss) getting into a relationship with an employee under her. This boss character named Evelyn is played by Marian Rivera (Kung Fu Divas, Ekstra: The Bit Player). The employee is played by Richard Gutierrez (Love and Lies).

The film's stacked cast also include Tom Rodriguez, Ruru Madrid, Dion Ignacio, Sandy Andolong, Jackielou Blanco, Pinky Amador, Ronaldo Valdez, Maricel Laxa, Rocco Nacino, Benjie Paras, Sef Cadayona, Regine Tolentino, Bianca Umali, Patricia Ysmael, Petra Mahalimuyak, Chloe McCully, Jace Flores, Mikey Bustos, Gerard Pizzaras, Victor Aliwalas, Kathleen Hermosa, Matet de Leon and Betong.

The film was produced and to be distributed by GMA Films and Regal Films. The story was written by Annette Gozon-Abrogar and the screenplay was written by Aloy Adlawan. The My Lady Boss trailer and official poster had been released.

Marian Rivera Updates

So what's keeping one of the Kapuso network's brightest stars busy these days? Catch up with the latest news on GMA-7's Marian Rivera.

1. There are rumors circulating that Rivera may be joining the ranks of celebrities transferring to the Kapatid network. These rumors came out after the actress was seen in a taping of TV5's upcoming mini-series called Nandito Ako. So is Rivera transferring to TV5? No, she is not. She went to the Nandito Ako taping merely to visit director Mac Alejandre whom she previously worked with on GMA-7. Besides, why would she leave GMA-7 when she already has a bunch of projects under the Kapuso network?

2. Marian Rivera will be appearing soon opposite real life boyfriend Dingdong Dantes in GMA-7's upcoming primetime show called My Beloved. The couple will be joined by Paolo Contis, Mikael Daez, Jennica Garcia, Alden Richards, Carl Guevarra, Chanda Romero, and Katrina Halili.
