Manny Pacquiao Vs. Brandon Rios Result: Analysis and Prediction of the Upcoming Fight

What will the result be when Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios fight each other? Come November 23, one of boxing's most recognizable star faces off with one of the most feared heavy-puncher in the sport. Pacquiao vs. Rios is ON! It's a mouth-watering encounter given the fighting styles of both fighters. They are very aggressive boxers who love to move forward with fists flying. No matter what angle you look at the fight, there's no way that it's going to be a boring affair. This is one of those fights where somebody is going to be knocked down or even knocked out. Both Pacquiao and Rios have knockout power. Look into their records and you will see how these two men made a career knocking people out inside of the squared ring.

Macau, China will play host to Pacquiao vs. Rios. This is the first time that Pacquiao gets to fight overseas in six years. His last out-of-the-US fight was in 2006 when he faced Mexican fighter Oscar Larios in the Philippines.

Both fighters are fast starters. Expect the two to collide with ill intentions the moment the bell is rang. With that said, I'm not going to be surprised when somebody gets taken out in the very first round. However, since both fighters came off losses, I'm going to expect them to start slower that they usually do. Round one or even round two will be getting-to-know-each-other rounds.

Pacquiao was knocked out cold last year by his long-time nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez. Rios on the other hand lost to Mike Alvarado via unanimous decision in a tough and gritty rematch war. These losses will surely have some effect on how they will perform in November but the extent of these effects we can only know when the bell finally rings this coming November.

When it comes to speed, Pacquiao without a doubt is way faster than Rios. He's got faster hands and faster footwork. Rios is not known for his speed.

When it comes to punching power, Pacquiao may have a slight advantage here. And that is not to mention the fact that his power seemed to have diminished a bit. He hasn't knocked anybody out in a few years now. Still he's got more power than Rios.

When it comes to chin, I will have to say Rios has an advantage here. He received all those hard shots from the two fights with Alvarado yet he never went down although at times he looked seriously heart. However, there's also the argument that Pacquiao is not Alvarado. Pacquiao hits harder and he hits in bunches.

So what's my Manny Pacquiao vs. Brandon Rios result prediction? I'd say Pacquiao via knockout in the 5th or 6th round. If Pacquiao weathers the early storm from Rios with his much better speed and ring movement, he can finally use his power to overwhelm and put way Rios in the middle rounds. The odds clearly favor the Filipino here.
