List Of Firecrackers And Fireworks That Are Prohibited In The Philippines

2012 is fast approaching. The deafening pops and blasts of firecrackers and fireworks are already in the air. If you are planning to meet the New Year with firecrackers and fireworks, be warned that besides running the risk of injuring yourself, you can also get yourself jailed. That is if you are caught purchasing firecrackers/fireworks that are prohibited by Philippine law. The Philippines’ law on pyrotechnic devices (Republic Act 7183) prohibits the manufacture and sale of certain firecrackers and fireworks. These include the ones listed below. If you are caught purchasing any of the items listed here, you could be slapped with a fine of 20,000 to 30,000 pesos or you could be imprisoned for 6 to 12 months.
