Paragliding in the Philippines: Destinations, Spots, Tips, Etc.

The Philippines may not be a well-known paragliding destination but I'm confident that this will change in the future as more paragliding sites are established all over the archipelago. There are several great paragliding sites already in place, most of which are located in Luzon, but these should increase soon to accommodate the increasing number of Filipinos and foreign tourists interested in trying the adventure sport.

I myself have tried paragliding thrice and the experience is just unbelievable. And I can't wait to do it again. I've made it a point to go out paragliding whenever I celebrate my birthday. Nothing beats the rush, the freedom, the high of gliding in the sky.

For fellow Filipinos out there or visiting tourists who want to experience paragliding in the Philippines, I've written this mini-guide for you all. If you don't know where or how to get started, I hope this article will be of help.

Warning!!!: Paragliding can be a very dangerous and risky sport. It's definitely not for those who have weak hearts. You might also consider things if you have fear of heights. Remember, you will be up there, dozens or hundreds of feet above the ground. People fainting during flight is not an uncommon occurrence. This is not to scare you or anything. It's just a heads-up.

Here's a list of some of the paragliding sites and destinations in the Philippines:
Dingalan, Aurora
General Santos, Mindanao
Mindoro
Rizal
Carmona, Cavite
