A new trailer for Annaliza, ABS-CBN's remake of the iconic television series has been released. The trailer features the main characters in the new series in scenes from upcoming episodes. The storyline can also be learned from the trailer which runs for over three minutes. According to a news report on the ABS-CBN News website, Annaliza will premiere later this year in the Kapamilya Network. No specific release date was announced. However, according to the show's Wikipedia page, it will start airing on May 20, 2013. It will reportedly replace the time slot to be vacated by the near-ending Little Champ, a show by Lito Lapid and JB Agustin.

The main Annaliza cast is composed of Andrea Brillantes, Denise Laurel, Kaye Abad, Zanjoe Marudo, Patrick Garcia, Carlo Aquino, Sue Ramirez, Khalil Ramos, Kyline Alcantara, Snooky Serna, Rio Locsin, Wowie de Guzman, Kiko Estrada, Shy Carlos, Jillian Aguila, Ces Quesada, Matet de Leon, Candy Pangilinan, and Gladys Reyes. Andrea Brillantes will be playing the title role. Brillantes previously appeared in several shows on ABS-CBN such as Pidol's Wonderland: Ispiritik, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Precious Heart Romances, Kahit Puso'y Masugatan, Ina Kapatid Anak, and Nandito Ako. She formerly used the screen name Blythe Gorostiza. Brillantes will also be appearing in the upcoming series Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin .

Annaliza is a remake of Anna Liza, a series that that was aired on the GMA Network from 1980 to 1986. Back then, it was a very popular and well-received series. The title character was portrayed by Julie Vega who suddenly passed away on May 6, 1985 at the very young age of 16. Her co-stars were Alicia Alonzo, Augusto Victa, Daria Ramirez, Robert Arevalo, Renato del Prado, Rey Abellana, Digna Kiocho, Leny Santos, Albert Martinez and Roderick Paulate.

Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin is a television romantic drama series soon to be aired by ABS-CBN, the Kapamilya Network. The series is also scheduled to air worldwide through The Filipino Channel. It will star Gerald Anderson, Cristine Reyes, Dawn Zulueta, Dina Bonnevie, Tonton Gutierrez, Rayver Cruz, Andrea Brillantes ( Annaliza ), Diana Zubiri and Gabby Concepcion.

One time, there was controversy surrounding the series when veteran actress Maricel Soriano left the series when an altercation between Soriano and Gerald Anderson happened during shooting. The disagreement between the two actors happened on the first day of shooting of the series. Soriano eventually left the project and Anderson stayed. Actress Dawn Zulueta (You're My Home) took Soriano's place in the cast.

Bong Osorio, head of corporate communications released a statement about the incident which contained the following excerpt: "Due to the unfortunate incident between Gerald Anderson and Maricel Soriano, that transpired on the first taping day of ‘Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin,’ ABS-CBN management and the management of Maricel Soriano have agreed that Maricel will no longer be part of the cast. The teleserye (television series) starring Gerald Anderson will proceed as scheduled."

 After Soriano left, Dawn Zulueta took her place among the cast. No airing date has been announced yet. The series will be directed by Jerome Chavez Pobocan and Trina N. Dayrit.
